A quick update on stuff...

Last weekend we had a visit from our neice, Olive. We took her to the Providence Children's Museum, the studio where Megan works, a party where there was a scary man with long hair, and two playgrounds. We also spent alot of time playing with ponies, one of whom was apparently named "Steve."

It was really something to have a tiny little person walking around. Olive is a HUGE fan of cherry tomatoes.

The "giant hippie lady who is also a couch" at the Children's Museum made for a convenient catnap spot.

We also planted a tree. We wanted to get one in before it was too cold, and after much research decided on a pear tree. It is doing well so far. Good luck, little tree.

Olive's visit allowed us to take a much needed break from the kitchen. But after she left, it was back to work. I sanded drywall this week, and now our house is not only hopelessly cluttered, but full of dust. But the worst is over - there shouldn't be too much more sanding, except for a few touch-ups. I just finished the second coat of primer tonight, and tomorrow morning we can paint the ceiling. Then the walls. I guess that's not too exciting, but three months ago painting the walls of this kitchen seemed like a far-off dream.

Oh, and congratulations and best wishes to Graham and Jane Snyder on the birth of their daughter Annabel Whitney Snyder!

Wow.........you are really working. It is looking good. What color are you going to paint the walls? Olive is so cute. What a happy looking little girl. She is so lucky to have you two for an aunt and uncle.

That hippie lady chair is very cool. You look much more comfortable in her lap than on the floor of your kitchen! And Olive is very, very cute & loks very happy to visit with her Aunt and Uncle.

The kitchen looks great, Brett.
Cute niece too...the three of you on the couch look disturbingly like a little family. Where'd you hide Egon for that.
Loved the bottom picture; Looks like you needed the rest, though it was a bad time for your narcolepsy to kick in.

I think that couch was touching you inappropriately.
