Kitchen

We've been trying to figure out our kitchen. We're going to re-arrange the footprint so that the refrigerator door can open all the way (currently, it hits the window moulding and stops), and maybe add a center island and use the space a little more efficiently. We'd like to add a door to the back yard (currently there is none - we have to carry food around the house to get to the barbeque.) The walls are kind of gross (fake stucco) and we'd like to redo them too.

Oh yeah, and our kitchen needs electricity, too.

So, we've started making plans about how to rearrange things. The fridge is such a monster, I have no idea where we'd put it if we add a back door. But we'll figure it out. Right now, I've just been running around the kitchen measuring everything and trying to come up with some kind of fairly accurate blueprint we can use as a starting point. From there, we can start to see how things can be rearranged. Summer is a good time to do this because we'll be without a kitchen through most of the process. We can eat salads and barbeque peppers.
